Richmond is a remarkably photogenic city. It has vistas and streets, parks and doorways, that just invite close looking.

It has a sheen of history to its modern core and it has a series of stunning green spaces – many of them situated along, or within, the James.

I walk through this city constantly. Looking.

And I take a lot of random pictures that do not really fit into the “themed” collections I generally feature on this page.

This blog will be an outlet for some of these shots. Some will be recent – a small collection taken from one meander. Some will be a series of old favorites.

This group is from a Wednesday morning walk along the pipeline and Manchester wall and the birds that caught my gaze.
